Jafurah IWP Project nears Construction Completion – Commercial Operations scheduled for October 2025

We are pleased to share that the Jafurah Independent Water Plant (IWP) Project has now achieved 70+% construction completion as of April 2025. This marks another important milestone for Mowah as Lead Developer, alongside its valued partners Al Bawani and Lamar Holding.

Testing and Commissioning activities are planned to commence in June 2025, and with parallel mobilization of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team underway, the project is gearing up for the successful transition into full Commercial Operations beginning in October 2025.

The Jafurah IWP, developed under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, comprises an 80,000 m³/day seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant, a 200km water transmission and distribution network, and associated electrical infrastructure essential to the facility’s performance.
