In line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, our best endeavors have been focused to achieve excellence and become active leaders locally and regionally in the provision of water and wastewater services to community and businesses through the production, transportation, distribution, treatment, and re-use of this scarce resource. We continue to develop our business strategies, in-depth knowledge and understanding of critical requirements and state-of-the-art technologies across these sectors. It is our aim to further enhance our participation in the private sector by being an active investor in water, environment, energy, infrastructure and social infrastructure.
We look forward to strengthening and investing in our capabilities by engaging in other business areas that are aligned with the nature of our current business activities, and this will provide opportunities for business growth and create new jobs for the future generations. In line with the target National Energy Strategies, we have advanced our involvement in renewable energy program, by participating in circular economy projects and ambitious green initiative projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
We have also invested and continue to pursue opportunities for investment in renewable energy to reduce environmental pollution, and for it to be the driving force for all our business units.

Faisal Al Rayes
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Faisal Al Rayes has been the Chief Executive Officer, and Board Member in Mowah since January 2008 and a member of the Executive Committee since 2021. As part of the Leadership Team, he is responsible for overseeing the operations of new businesses and drives the business expansion initiatives of the group. Within Mowah, he has established an impressive track record in identifying and investing in commercially viable investment opportunities, winning competitive bids, and driving growth for large-scale PPP projects such as IWP, ISTP, IPP, and long and short term O&M projects.
Mr. Faisal is also Chairman of Future Technologies for Water Desalinations company as well as the innovative Tashgheel company for O&M and sits on the Board of the following subsidiaries: Yanbu International Water, Dammam West Company for Water, Dammam West Operation & Maintenance Company, CICLO, Mowah Technology Services (MTS), SAL United Co. for Water, and Nayyar International Renewable Energy Company. He also currently serves as Managing Director for CICLO.
Prior to joining Mowah, Mr. Faisal was the Vice President of Riyadh Al Sahra Medical Co. He also served as Investment Manager for Jax Contracting and Sales & Marketing Manager for Filling and Packing Materials Company (FIPCO). With his 25+ years of experience rich in executive management, he provides leadership and expertise to the company in the areas of business planning, operational leadership, financial management, and strategy and business development.
Mr. Faisal earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration – Marketing from King Saud University.
Prior to joining Mowah, Mr. Faisal was the Vice President of Riyadh Al Sahra Medical Co. Yousef Al Onezi

Yousef Dhaher Al-Onezi is a seasoned Human Capital & HR Director with over 23 years of extensive experience in strategic human resource management, organizational development, and labor law compliance. His expertise spans across multiple industries, including manufacturing, investment, hospitality, and utilities, making him a versatile HR leader capable of adapting to diverse business environments.
Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in developing and implementing HR policies, optimizing workforce performance, and driving employee engagement initiatives. Bouchra Nouhi
Head of Project Finance and M&A
Since 2023, Bouchra has led Project Finance and M&A at Mowah, bringing over 18 years of experience in managing, structuring, and financing complex regional and international projects in the energy, water, and infrastructure sectors. At Mowah, she played a key role in significant initiatives such as the Jafurah IWP in Saudi Arabia financing of the project.
Previously, at EDF Renewable Energy, she co-headed the international project finance team, securing financing for major renewable projects across MENA, Asia, and South America.

Bouchra also held senior roles at ENGIE where she led financing and M&A efforts for large-scale projects in power generation, renewables, and water desalination. She specializes in structuring complex financial deals and driving sustainable growth, and leading teams in executing multi-million-dollar transactions.
Sambhu Saran Mitra
Head of Engineering & Technical Support
Dr. Sambhu Saran Mitra joined Mowah in the middle of 2021 as Head of Engineering and Technical Services. He has almost 40 years’ experience, technical skills, and knowledge in the water treatment industry. His present field of expertise in IWP with RO desalination and ISTP of various capacity including sludge treatment. Offered exceptional technical support to business development, project execution and co-ordination, engineering and in O&M trouble shooting.
Sambhu is an experienced professional in working with conventional and renewable power plants and in thermal water desalination running based on the CHP concept. He is keen on compliance of Environment regulation, monitoring of environmental parameters and EIA study and assistance in environment related legal matters related to power and desalination plant.
Performed quantitative research to map client experience and tailor products and programs to evolve needs and future requirements. Formalized robust strategies to manage change, ideas and create opportunities, mitigate risks, and drive business value.

Mohamed Zain El Sadany
Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Director
Mohamed, an accomplished GRC Director and Board and Committees Secretary, has over 16 years of experience leading corporate governance initiatives and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. He joined Mowah in 2020, where he has played a key role in overseeing IPO management, driving operational efficiencies, and promoting ethical decision-making. His expertise spans internal auditing, financial reporting, and due diligence, with a strong ability to assess and improve internal controls.
Prior to joining Mowah, Mohamed served as Internal Audit Manager at Naseej International Trading Co. (formerly Al-Sorayai Group) in Jeddah, where he refined audit processes, strengthened internal controls, and optimized resource management. He also served as Senior Internal Auditor at Abdulla Fouad Holding Company in Dammam, leading comprehensive audits across various business sectors and recommending corrective actions to enhance operational effectiveness. Earlier in his career, Mohamed also worked as an External Auditor at KPMG in Cairo, Egypt, where he directed external audits for 29 clients ensuring compliance with international auditing standards (IFRS and GAAP).
Mohamed holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Helwan University and has completed various professional courses and certifications, including the IFSAH Professional Certificate and Certified Board Secretary from Kingstone Business Academy. Fluent in Arabic and English, Mohamed brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role, fostering collaboration across teams and advising executive leadership on governance matters.

Shabbir, a cross-discipline engineering and asset management professional in the Power & Water sector, joined Mowah in 2024 as the Assets Director.
Shabbir has a proven track record in risk, reliability, operational excellence, digitization programs, and capital expenditure projects across a portfolio of 40+ power generation assets valued at over $74 billion, generating 28+ GW of electricity and 5.3+ million m³/day of water across 12+ countries and 9+ technologies.

Prior to Mowah, Shabbir served as a Technical/Strategy Consultant for leading companies like Elia Grid, Laborelec, Saudi Electric Company, and National Grid (KSA), where he improved the reliability of critical power generation assets and supported business management projects. As a Reliability Program Manager at NOMAC/ACWA Power, he built and influenced reliability programs across a diverse portfolio of power and water sites. Shabbir also held roles at Marafiq IWPP (Engie O&M), where he managed O&M engineering and asset management strategies, and at GE Energy, where he led contractual execution and reporting of maintenance and projects.
Shabbir holds a bachelors in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) and is an MBA candidate from the University of Illinois (Urbana).

General Manager, CICLO Water Treatment LLC
Nehad Hamama is an experienced business leader with over 30 years of expertise in operations, sales, and strategic management across the water, wastewater, oil & gas, agriculture, and infrastructure sectors. As General Manager of CICLO Water Treatment LLC, he oversees business growth and operations across the GCC, delivering cutting-edge environmental solutions, including solar sludge drying, sludge dewatering, and integrated pipeline systems.
Prior to joining CICLO in 2024, Nehad served as Country Sales Manager at RuhRPumpen Egypt, managing business operations and driving growth across key markets in the Oil & Gas, water and utilities sector. He also held senior leadership roles at Abunayyan Trading Co., where he led regional operations, optimized sales strategies, and strengthened relationships with major industry stakeholders such as NWC, MARAFIQ, SWA and ARAMCO.
