Shabbir, a cross-discipline engineering and asset management professional in the Power & Water sector, joined Mowah in 2024 as the Assets Director.
Shabbir has a proven track record in risk, reliability, operational excellence, digitization programs, and capital expenditure projects across a portfolio of 40+ power generation assets valued at over $74 billion, generating 28+ GW of electricity and 5.3+ million m³/day of water across 12+ countries and 9+ technologies.
Prior to Mowah, Shabbir served as a Technical/Strategy Consultant for leading companies like Elia Grid, Laborelec, Saudi Electric Company, and National Grid (KSA), where he improved the reliability of critical power generation assets and supported business management projects. As a Reliability Program Manager at NOMAC/ACWA Power, he built and influenced reliability programs across a diverse portfolio of power and water sites. Shabbir also held roles at Marafiq IWPP (Engie O&M), where he managed O&M engineering and asset management strategies, and at GE Energy, where he led contractual execution and reporting of maintenance and projects.
Shabbir holds a bachelors in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) and is an MBA candidate from the University of Illinois (Urbana).
