Mowah through its energy subsidiary entity Nayyar Energy offers various solutions for large utilities and commercial & industrial (C&I) clients for meeting the rising energy demand sustainably by delivering cleaner and smarter energy choices.
The company is capable of delivering projects from end to end. Mowah is a developer, O&M provider, and also offers project management services for delivering projects on a turnkey basis. The company has been actively pursuing opportunities to expand its investment portfolio in renewable energy. The company successfully acquired a considerable share in Enara Bahrain Company which has a majority stake in Subh Company Ltd., Sunrise Company Ltd., and Rising Sun Company (Special Purpose Energy Companies).
These companies currently operate three different Solar photovoltaic plants, each of which has a 50 MW capacity with an aggregate capacity of 150 MW, and have signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company, supported by the Egyptian Ministry of Finance. Recently the company has entered an agreement with a partner to develop a 300 MW Solar PV project.
This project is secured in Round 3 competitive bidding initiated by the Ministry of Energy /Renewable Energy Project Development Office (REPDO). The project company signed a 25-year long-term Power Purchase Agreement with the Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC).The Saudi Electricity Company supports the project through payment guarantees.
In addition to the large utility scale, Mowah also caters to commercial and industrial (C&I) customers’ needs. The company’s solar and energy efficiency solutions enable businesses to reduce energy costs, improve power reliability, and lower carbon emissions. Nayyar has developed a 6 MW solar PV plant in Mowah’s South Riyadh Project (SRP) and has entered into a 25-year long-term private power purchase agreement to supply electricity to the SRP plant.
