The National Water Company awarded Mowah in January 2011 with a “rehabilitate, operate and transfer” (ROT) contract for Al Khumrah’s wastewater reuse facility located south of Jeddah. Mowah rehabilitated and expanded the facilities’ capacity (which consists of STP & RO facilities) to 30,000 m3 per day. Mowah’s scope includes finance for rehabilitation & expansion scope, operation, and maintenance, and the sale of treated sewage effluent (TSE) to industrial clients including metering and billing collection. The contract period for this project is 20 years.
