Mowah has been selected as one of the prequalified bidders for the Ras Mohaisen Independent Water Project (IWP). The scope tendered for the Ras Mohaisen IWP will include the development and construction of a Reverse Osmosis desalination treatment plant with a capacity of 300,000 m3/day and its associated facilities and infrastructure.
The Ras Mohaisen desalination plant will be located in Ras Mohaisen, 300 km south of Makkah, on the coast of the Red Sea in the Western Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The power supply to the Project will be provided by the Saudi Electricity Company through a high voltage network.
The Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) announced the prequalification results in May 2021. The RFP for the project was released in August 2022.
