The plant has a production capacity of 80,000 m3 per day, 65-kilometer transmission lines and utilizes the Reverse Osmosis technology.

Mowah is the first company awarded a contract by the National Water Company for the re-use of treated wastewater in 2011. The Al-Khumrah (south of Jeddah) project was awarded under a “Rehabilitate, Operate and Transfer” (ROT) model with a 20-year contract period. The wastewater reuse treatment facility has a capacity of 50,000 m3 per day.

Mowah developed the Integrated Sewage Treatment Plant (ISTP) project in Dammam, with a capacity of 200,000 m3 per day expandable to 350,000 m3 per day. It is the first independent sewage treatment project that has been implemented on PPP basis adopting the “Build, Own, Operate, Transfer” (BOOT) model.
